Any kind of peace between global groups is an outstanding accomplishment. Ensuring long lasting peace between existing religious groups is an even greater one. Most modern day religions attribute their lineage as being traceable back to the father Abraham. This can either be by mention of him or recognizing him as a founding father. Abrahamic believes that there is no logical reason for why groups that come from the same place of inception should engage in any kind of violent disagreement. Abrahamic wishes to institute peaceful and diplomatic associations between the groups. Disagreements are inevitable and normal, but violence is un-acceptable. A look at this statistics gives us further insight into why the Abrahamic initiative is needed :

• The Lebanese Civil War was a war sparked by religious disagreements. Both sides were members of opposing Islamic groups who fought due to the power struggle for who would control Lebanon. The war started in 1975 and ended in 1990 killing an estimated 150,000 people. 

• The all time famous religious war known by the title of "The Crusades" was a religious war that was fought between the Muslims and Christians due to intense religious disputes and control over the Holy Land in Jerusalem. There were multiple battles that occurred during this time period. The first battle began in 1095 and other battles ensued until 1127. The war finally met its official conclusion in 1303, after it had claimed the lives of more than half a million civilians and control of the land was awarded to the Christians. 

• The Thirty Years' war was a series of religious wars that ensued between the years of 1618 to 1648 in Europe. This war was known as the longest and most detrimental fighting period ever known to the history of mankind. The war was sparked as a result of the religious disputes between the Holy Roman Empire, France, Sweden, and Spain. The war would eventually cease claiming more than a total of 800,000 lives.

• Religious wars and disagreements still continue until this day. Wars in places such as Syria give credibility to this statement as Shiites and Sunni Muslims continue to battle everyday for political and religious control. It has been reported in the year 2014, that "religious hostilities have increased in every major region of the world except the Americas.". Tensions in Israel are arising steadily from the Palestinian issue, the amount of Christians killed due to their faith had doubled to 2,123, and anti-Semitic attacks have seen some serious increases. 

The message is clear, no violence is acceptable under any means. Even more important is that the people remember that these same religious preach a very powerful and moving message against violence towards one in other.
